Why Traverse Family Therapy?

IMG_3790.jpeg

Traverse Family Therapy was created from the question: "If I needed help with my family where would I go and what would I want from that experience?"

The founder (Brannon Patrick, LCSW) has worked in almost every therapeutic setting. Working in in-patient treatment programs for adolescents, private practice, intense couples counseling sessions, out-patient therapeutic settings, even hospitals doing hospice work helping families with grief. He has guided parents, spouses and community leaders. He has led therapeutic retreats in nature, taken couples to Peru (and other places). He has built large practices hiring training and mentoring therapists. He has held space in the depths of hell with individuals going through the most difficult times of life. Most importantly he is a father of 4 and is currently raising his own children and navigating his 20+ year relationship with his wife. Through his vast experience he knows what truly works for healing and what does not. Taking all of that experience Traverse Family Therapy was built to answer the question "If I were to take my family to therapy where would I go and what would the treatment be like?". Traverse is not your everyday clinic. It's professional, intuitive, holistic, unconventional yet evidence based. Traverse was Built with Intention. The setting itself is built to invite safety and openness. The staff is trained to provide the most effective therapy through evidenced based practices and somatic healing practices. We treat the root, we treat the whole system.

Why We Chose the Enso

The Enso — a circle drawn in one continuous brushstroke — represents wholeness, strength, and the beauty of imperfection.

Families are not flawless. Every relationship carries tension, growth, and resilience at the same time. The Enso reminds us that connection does not require perfection — it requires intention.

In family systems work, each person influences the whole. When one part of the system shifts, the entire family can move toward greater stability. The circle symbolizes unity, clarity, and forward movement.

At Traverse Family Therapy, we believe change happens not by striving for perfection, but by restoring connection and helping families move toward steadiness and growth.
